Types Of Sump Pumps
Sump pump interior drains are most cost effective than outside repairs. There are two types of sump pumps; submersible and pedestal.
Submersible Pump
The submersible is more expensive and it must sit in water in the sump pit. The submersible pump is more powerful and removes water more thoroughly, however it does not last as long.
Pedestal Pump
The pedestal pump does not completey dry out your basement, but does have a longer lifetime than the submersible. Plus the pedestal pump is more affordable.
Battery Backup Sump Pump
Either of these sump pumps can be installed with a battery operated backup system. This is a good idea in Canada especially if you experience flooding, power outages, or have valuable furniture or structures in your basement. The batter backup will ensure that even if they power is out, your basement will remain dry.

Sump Pump Repairs
Regular testing your sump pump is required to ensure that your pump is free of mildew. This makes sure that your float switch is not sticking, so your pump will work properly. If your pump is running loudly, is musty in smell, or did not turn on after rain then you may need to repair it.
Our certified waterproofing technicians can run regular maintenance on your system and repair your pump at minimal cost.
Some insurance companies will provide discounts if you get a certified technician to conduct regular maintenance on your pump. We can provide certifications if you fall into this category, and will keep your pump repaired and functioning properly.

When there is any excavation required our team follows all Dig Safe Canada procedures to ensure that all digging activities are done in a safe and responsible manner.
